I have an 00 Club cab 3.9. And the turn signals havent worked for a few months. Ive looked at the bulbs theyre all good in the back at least. The fuses are good. What gives? They flick on for about a second sometimes and thats it. Is it a ground problem? Where are the grounds located at?

Much help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a Dak. 99 V6 auto, sport. Seems that your truck got the same symptoms as mine. now!.. you said all the bulbs were fine and the fuses as well, But you never mentioned the relay. check the relay on the fuser box on the side of the dashboard on the passenger side. what i did, with my signals on I tried to release the relay from the fuser box and then the relay start working so I knew that was the problem, so I went to the dealer and got a new one, replace it, then my turn signals came back to normal. Yours maybe its going bad.

Hope this helps!...
Good Luck!...

When I switch on my hazards all my lights work and blink as they should. My turn signals just dont work. Is it the switch on the steering column? It says in my book I need a special anti-tamper Torx head tool. Im baffled here and if I took it in im sure theyd charge an arm and a leg. Next step?

i'm not sure but aren't there 2 separate flasher units? one for the hazards and one for the turn signals? if so, Tyler, there is another flasher unit you need to find. probably under the dash on the driverside.

In my haynes book it says its under the instrument panel. I looked for it for 5 minutes couldnt find it. Is it way up under there? If so I may be in a pickle.

Hey Tyler!... When I checked the relay of my truck I put my finger on the relay located on the side of the dash on the driver side, and turn my signal on and it flashed for 3 sec, and I could feel it stopping clicking, then I turn the hazard warning lights and I could feel on the same relay but it never stop flashing.... huh!.. well you said u have a haynes book, well I have a chilton's book. check this out!.. Early models like (97) have separate flashers and on a late models like (98) and up has a combination flasher is a smart relay that functions as both the turn signal system and the hazard warning system flasher. It is designed to handle factory-fitted equipment. The flasher contains sophisticated internal circuitry which cannot get tested with conventional equipment. so what do you think?...answer? = New relay!...

Tyler/enyone,

Same symptom with my 2001, the rear turn signal light started acting erratic pulsing when making a right turn. Everything else works fine. Checked fuse and light bulb and they are good.

I need to make a trip to the dealer and buy RELAY. And to make sure, this relay is same as the combination flasher?

Greatly appreciate anyones help!

Thanks,
Gerry
