 Subject: Drag racing my Dak

I was talking with my dad today and got on the subject of hid '70 road runner. He said this summer he wanted to take it to the track to see what is could do. So I got to thinking that I might do the same thing with my 98 Dak. My question is I've never drag raced before. Is there anyone the could give me some pointers for racing our trucks??? Also I've seen guys run their truck in 4wd. Is this advisable or will I blow up the t-case??

Here are the specs on my truck
3.9 with a cia, v-8 tb, flowmaster exhaust,180 degree t-stat, ax-15, 231 t-case, 3.55 gears with a sure grip lsd
