i'm in the same boat you are i jsut purchased mine
cause i'm not gonna pass up that kind of deal.
from what i've heard. its not too terribly hard
you jsut have to be careful when your takingthe
bolts out. you don;t want to break one off in the
block. i've heard that if you use liquid wrench,
or something similar, spray it on turn the truck
on for a min its helps. thats about all i've
heard. if i leran anything more i'll let you know.
my headers whould be here in about 3 days. so i'll
let you know how the installation goes.

Ok so if you get the headers on will the y pipe fit or do u need a custom one? And if so can they make a custom one without the new headers in or do they have to be on. The reason im askin is cuz if I were to put headers on myself to save money id do it but if the y pipe is a problem id have to take it in to a shop which would cost $$$. Also, are there holes already made for all the O2 sensors including by the cat Thanks

Tony--the o2 sensors don't go in the headers, they are located further down the pipe, so that is no problem.

Installing the headers on our v-6's isn't too bad. The stock y-pipe bolts up fine, you just need to muscle it into place because it warps over time and will seem to be off by like 1" or so. I put mine on with a friends help in about 3 hours. Just make sure you have lots of different socket extensions and a very thin wall wrench to get the head bolts. I think it was 7/16, but that was a long time ago. BTW, I thought removing the manifolds was harder than getting the headers in.
Just have some patience, and a whole day to waste, plus a case of beer for afterwords....

Good luck to you all.
