Does anyone else get a rubbing/vibration feeling in the gas pedal when the auto trans is about to shift to second? The dealership said they couldn't feel it but its driving me crazy.
Any ideas?

Try finding the appropriate factory service manual and try adjusting the TV cable according to the manuals recommendations. Another reason I have a manual trans.

If that doesn't work check for codes. How long has it been since you had the trans serviced?

One more thing, could you be a little more vague on the vehicle you're inquiring about next time?

I'd go with daddio. Sounds like a possible fix is
adjusting the cable going to the tranny. That
happened to me and it fixed it.

not really. The dakota out shines the Ranger, s10,
sonoma, tacoma, colarado, and canyon.

Ranger- kinda small...and sad
S10/Sonoma- Rust Buckets, haven't seen one without
rust.
Tacoma- not bad, but once something goes,
everything goes.

Colorado/Canyon- From what i've heard they aren't
bad, but the design(especially the Canyon) isn't
pleasing.

O and my truck is a 99 Dakota Sport 3.9L (roughly)
180HP. I have some upgrades on the engine so not
sure what it is now.

Yeah thats f*ckin junk. 180 hp is pathetic. My Tundra has 300 horsepower and f*cking hauls ass. Rangers are junk, and dont get me started on S10s those trucks are horrible i had on and the control arm mounts broke and the frame bent on it. Dakotas are junk too cause the ball joints suck and the rear diffs are junk. so everything you idiots drive is f*cking junk unless its a toyota tundra best truck ever made

If Tundra's are so great why did a friend of mine just spend $2500.00 to fix some valve on the exhaust? It's an '08 w/ 75k on it. Driving one day and it would not go over 20mph even with the pedal to the floor. Brought it to the dealer and that's where the $2500 went.

No matter what you buy, If you own enough vehicles in your life you will find a lemon or two.

Wow your dumb. Dakota is a medium size truck. Tundra is full
size , so you should compare it to the Ram.

I know someone who bought a tundra for a farm. And now it
sits in a field because it was crap. Lol. He went back to his old
chevy. Also this guy in an article from the auto show compared
all the trucks in real working conditions, towing, hauling ,
everything. Guess what? The Ram won on all levels except
fuel economy when loaded and empty, tundra won that. Other
then that, tundra was one of the worse only beating the crumy
Titan. So read up before you say anything and know what
class each vehicle is in.

Lol well the flux capacitor is relativity not quantum mechanics.
And you need a stainless steel vehicle, and there is only one
out there. Do you know what it is?

And you are still comparing a full size truck to a medium size
truck. Doesn't work like that.
