Subject: V8 TB vs Fastman

Excuse the stupid questions but I am new to the world of Daks and mods. I have a 2003 sxt 4x4 and I am looking at upgrading my TB. Is it worth spending the money for a fastman or should i just stick with the V8 swap. How much different is the performance gains? Any input would be great. Thanks

the performance gains are not all that great but i would say that the v8 upgrade is worth it. i did it and was satisfied. you notice a nice acceleration differance throughout the whole power band just make sure you throttle linkage is the same as the new TB. there is one style that clips on and another that is kinda like a ball and socket type the easiest way to check is simply pop yours off and look. or if you go with the other style just simply change your throttle cable.

what on earth would you need a new puter and wiring harness for???? the sensors and wiring are all IDENTICLE there is no differance. it wont even throw a check engine light.all it does it open the TB from 48mm to 50mm allowing more air intake.

The peak gain is the same

The V8 swap same off idle low end the fastman &
F&B offer gains from off idle to redline

depending on how you drive the truck the V8 swap
is well worth the money

In a 4x4 or trailer towing situation you want
the off idle low end gains in a street driven 2
wheel drive the V8 swap is just fine
