My v6's engine blew a head gasket. I was going to replace the engine with a 5.2, but I just don't feel like it any more. Too much stuff going on, not enough time and I have 3 other vehicles.
I figure I wil part it out and get some money, maybe over the next few years I'll make it into a real project track truck. It doesn't make sense to just put a 5.2 in it when I don't need it as a daily driver.
FOR SALE:
NEW NV3500 Transmission (FACTORY BOUGHT) 1k miles ($900)
NEW 4 wheel drive unit (FACTORY BOUGHT) 1k miles ($600)
USED 68k miles 5.2 engine (Guarantee running) ($600)
USED Blown Head gasket 3.9 v6 engine ($150)
USED Radiator ($100)
USED Computer (3.9) ($100)
USED 5.2 Throttle Body ($100)
USED Ported 3.9 Thorttle Body ($50)
USED all other engine components, AC, Brakes etc. I'll part it all out.
I guarantee all parts except the 3.9 engine. I had a lot of the work done just before the 100k warranty was up.
If somebody purchases the motors, you get all of the accessories. If not, I can sell the accessories by themselves. They are all in good condition.
I'll sell the whole truck with everything for $1500. The windshield is cracked, bumpers have scratches, tires/wheels need to be replaced. No exhaust (I sold it).
The truck has been taken very good care of, it is silver 2002 v6. 101k miles on it, I have a friend at the dodge dealership, that is how I got my tranny and 4wd unit new just before the warranty was up.
Parts needed for the engine swap:
5.2 computer
Fuel Rails
Intake manifold bolts
Wiring harness should be replaced
I am in the 21502 zip code, I have the 5.2 engine in a $250 crate, ready to sell. I can ship or you can pick up. I can deliver anything to the baltimore area for a $50 charge (gas).

2002 Silver dodge dakota 3.9 5speed 4wd truck. Sport club cab.
I really did like this truck, all of the stuff is in good shape.

I wish I could edit posts.... The fuel rails needed for the swap are 5.2 fuel rails. The 3.9 has fuel rails.

Last thing... I am flexible on prices. I am looking to get $1800 to purchase a ATV for myself for hunting season. I already have one in mind so no trades (buying from a friend).

Maryland at the 21502 zip code in Cumberland. Western MD. I can transfer within an hour 1/2 for $50 + uhaul tow dolly charge. I can transfer to Baltimore/DC relatively easily since I work down there.

Another note. If you purchase the truck, you do get EVERYTHING. You could easily part it out for more money, the tranny, 4wd unit and 5.2 engine are worth more than 1800. I just really want to buy this ATV and don't feel like fooling with it.
If you want, I can even throw in an engine hoist crane. I don't think I will be pulling another motor for a quite some time.
I can take pictures for the purchaser.
