IF you smell antifreeze(smells different than freon)
then the heater core is prob leaking antifreeze and the fan is blowing it into the cab and will need replaced , also check the connections at the fire wall , i had one that leaked there and made it seem as the heater core was leaking when it was a loose connection at the fire wall

yes check the heater core and the hoses closly
it takes only a small coolant leak to make the smell, tis unlikely that the AC is leaking if you havent seen a pressure drop in 6 months, a simple test is to pinch both hoses off with long nose vice grips and drive for a few days and see if the smell goes away , hope this helps

well today i unpluged the sensor on the condencer that engages the compressior for the ac and the smell slowly went away. so i think it has to be due to the ac system at some area of it. ????
