Subject: Rear Differential Fluid Change Quesiton
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2004 Dakota SXT. I need to change the rear axle fluid. It appears that there is no drain plug, and I really don't want to pull the cover off. Could I use an oil vacuum pump to remove the fluid from the fill hole? Has anyone done this?

You could use a pump, but you really should remove the cover to wipe any moisture off that may have accumulated. It also is the perfect chance to view for damage.
