I have seen and i know of people on here that have the exhaust exit at a 45 degree angle before the cab.

Whats your point? You didnt specify why you wanted to know.

if you do that i hope you plan onwearing headphones while driving because it will be some kind of loud in the cab. and the driver side may give you some problems with the fuel tank right there. but if it's what you want good luck with it.

daddio I am sure hes about about dual pipes out the passenger-side after the cab, I know gibson used to sell this kit, it was called the super-sport truck kit or something to that affect.
However i agree with you if you mean 1 pipe out each side of the cab will not be easy without more modifications.

Depends on what you mean legal in cali? There is nothing stating with any state laws that you cannot mod your vehicle! HOWEVER, if you mean by emissions clean air act, this is another story, cali and other states that have adapted this emission testings allow you to put after-market parts on your vehicle as long as its environmental friendly (I am not 100% sure on the wording and all that wording in between because luckily for me i dont live in cali or one of those states that has adapted that clean air act.) Therefore as long as you put a cat and something other then a straight throw muffler on there, you are good to go. However you might get pulled over a couple times for "being too loud" when a cop is having a bad day or is looking for an easy bust but some people view that as part of the game.

Personally on an everyday driven vehicle i do not see a point to this exhaust setup, however if its a weekend vehicle or just for racing, SURE i understand. Even though we only have a V6 that engine is very powerful and loud just like a V8, the trick is unlocking that power.

MO laws stae the exhaust must exit a set distance from the rear window or past the rear axle.

fotodak, wrong answer. MO law states it must exit behind the cab on a truck. No set distance just behind the cab.

The trooper was full of beans, too.

(E) Tailpipe is located so that a person may
be burned on entering or leaving passenger
compartment;
(F) Any part of system passes through passenger
compartment;
(G) Tailpipe fails to discharge exhaust away
from under passenger compartment of commercial
motor vehicles;
(H) Tailpipe fails to discharge exhaust from
the rear or sides of the passenger and luggage
compartment on passenger vehicles;
(I) Vehicle has no muffler;
(J) Tailpipe fails to discharge exhaust away
from the sides or rear of a camper which is
mounted on a motor vehicle and which is
equipped with permanent cooking, heating
and sleeping facilities;

I'd look at (H) very carefully. Lots of room for interpretation there.
