Subject: K&N Air Filter

I have a K&N and i was wondering how to clean it. Can i just rinse it out with water or do i really need to get one of those K&N Filter Chargers? And if i need one of those filter chargers, where can i find one? Thanks alot.

You deffinataly need to reoil it with something so I would go with the kit.

i washed my old filter twice with the same box and i still had enough left for another try. its seven bucks but lasts you a long time.

You can get recharging kits from JC Whitney, Summit, or at local shops like Auto Zone, Discount Auto, and Pep Boys. At least in Fla you can. But definitly go with the recharge, not just water. The oil helps the filter clean the air better and allows more are to flow through it. Good Luck

needs the special cleaner too, not just the special oil. (water and oil don't mix, remember?)

i put one in my dak and i got an extra 200hp!

hehe, ok, not really.
runs a decibel or two quieter (les air sucking i guess), has a little more oomph, but no big hp diff. maybe a couple. (never had a dyno, so i dunno what a hp diff would feel like anyway)
