 Subject: Trouble code po740

Today on the way home from work check engine light came on. Went to Autozone & ran code, po740 came up, tcc circuit malfunction. The check engine light has shown up 3-4 times in the past month, then for no reason goes out. Truck is a 98 dak. with an automatic tranny & 100,000 miles on it. Truck runs fine. Anyone have any info on this code? Thanx.

torque converte clutch
check sol 180 to 220 ohm resistance
first clean all elect connections to trans
probably all that is wrong if it still shifts ok
drivers side by shift linkage
blast out with carb or brake clean let dry plug
back in

Thanx Larry. This a.m. the truck would not shift into overdrive. Am I looking at a teardown to get to the sols?
