Hi, I'm planing on doing this next weekend and I'm not shire if I have the right bolts to pull the Balancer off and reinstall it. What size and length bolts are needed to pull it off?

What thread size is the crank bolt? I have a steering wheel puller just need the bolt sizes. Any tips on installing the balancer will be very help full.

Thanks,

Rod

rodm1, I'm not 100% sure what size they are, on mine (an 88) I think I used bolts with a 1/2 inch wrench, and the center bolt again I'm not sure but the best thing to do is break it loose, then leave it in, just unscrew it a little, then pull the Balancer out a little, usually once you get it to start moving it will be easy to pull off. Once it gets loose remove your puller then the center bolt and pull it off, putting it back on is another story, some times you can get it on far enough to start the bolt, if that's the case then its just a matter of torquing it in place. If not then you may need to use an installer, of course some guys just hammer on the balancer until they can get the bolt started.
I don't recommend doing that, but if you are careful and don't try to drive it on with just one hard swing, use a lot of easy hits it may go on far enough to get the bolt started. Again, I don't recommend that method.
Good Luck
