has anyone herd the aerochamber muffler by hooker. it looks pretty cool and is said to outflow the flowmaster. wondering how the sound is compared to the flowmaster. also do the flowmaster 40 delta dlow reverberate bad like some of the other mufflers do?

The Flowmaster 40 delta flow sounds just like the standard flowmaster 40 (LOUD) without much interior resonance...I have an original 40 on my truck and it has literally rattled my exhaust apart. I have a gaping hole in my muffler where it broke off the mount, my old cat converter fell apart at around 80k miles, and one of my exhaust clamps on the y-pipe rattled loose.
Of course, I also have turn down right off the rear axle...IMO...the 40's sound great at idle, but they're a bit raspy on our V6's. Maybe a 50 series would sound better.
I've never heard any Hooker mufflers.
Also another one to look into that I've seen recommended on here HUNDREDS of times...Dynomax Super Turbo 17748. I have one of those sitting out in the garage just waiting for me to take it to my friend's shop and put it on.

Have you seen the latest bench flow tests?
The new Thrush Steel Chambered Muffler
out flow Flowmaster and 2 other top competitors.

I looked into the dyno max but i was informed its just a bit louder than stock. my buddy has a hoooker aerochamber on his v6 tacoma and it sounds great at all rpm's..just wonering how it might sound on a 3.9 compared to my next choice being the 40 delta flow. ill look into that thrush muffler

I installed one on a friends truck. Mind you it's a Chevy but the muffler sounds damn good. Here's what I can do, my daughters mp3 player broke so I got her a new one for Xmas. With that said a few days after Xmas. I'll have him stop by and use her mp3 player to get a sound clip. I will just have to figure out a place to upload so I can post it. They have a real nice deep tone and sound throaty.
