i did this on my brothers 87. All i did was get a Carter BBd 2 bbl carb from a mid 80's AMC eagle 6 cylinder. But i had to cut the linkage arm off old carb and weld it to the new one so all linkages would work. I didnt have to change anything else, well.. gas line routing, that type thing, but nothing else other than carb and attachments, the AMC carb will fit right on a dodge 3.9 V6. Its the same carb the older 318's used, just jetted smaller. But jets work fine on the Dodge V6 from the AMC 6 cyl.
