I'm trying to figure out the wiring on my 1992 3.9 Turbo MPI. What year did Dodge put the Multi-Port fuel injectors on the Dakotas ? What is the heated oxygen sensor and do I have one, if so where? It is shown in the wiring diagram for the Multi-Port Injectors with a common wire running to fuel injectors and coil,(Haynes manual 87-96 Dakota pick-ups first wiring diagram for models with multi-port injection). Thanks, TobyWD40

I figured out that the heated oxygen sensor is just the Oxy. sensor, duh. Ya can't blame me though there are so many it gets confusing. Someone find a brand new 92 thats never been started so we can compare it to this one HA! sorry for this dumb question. TOBY WD40

Toby. you are in luck the 92 was the first year for the multi-port injection. I'm not sure but I think yours has 2 o2 senors one in front of the cat. and one after the cat. I could be wrong on that though. The 02 senors are in the exhaust.
You seem to be learning pretty fast with your manual. I have the same one. there are a lot of differences between the 87-91 and the 92 and later ones.
Good Luck

Mine is a 92 v6 4wd and it only has one O2 sensor. When the fuel mileage dropped off a while ago I changed it out and it made the truck run better.
