Does anyone know for sure if a 904 tranny will bolt to a 3.9? Are the 318 bellhousings the same as the 3.9? They use to use 904s behind small blocks in the old days....If the theory is true about the 3.9 being a 318 munus two cylinders then this should work.....a500 tranny is no good because i can't get a converter i need...any help would be great. hey i wondered about this
i know the trans will bolt to the 3.9
but which fly wheel and or trq. converter
a flywheel for the 3.9 and a converter for a 904?

What do you do about the crank sensor on the flywheel, I planning on running a 3500 converter, Is a 904 like a 727, does it have the flywheel and converter made together? Or is there a different way of running the crank sensor? Are there any aftermarket distributors for the v6 that doesn't use a crank sensor, one that fires of the balancer like a crank trigger. Thanks for anything you can help me with.
