Subject: AP3923 Plugs?
IP: Logged

Message:
I am currently runniing Autolite 3923 Plugs in my 92 V6 Dakota, but can't remember if they are Platinums or not. Getting older I guess... So far I've been pleased though.

I'm getting ready to do some cleanup work on my truck, and regapping the plugs or changing them to Autolite Platinums if they're not already is one of my projects. Here is my question(s)..

With my stock ignition system and coil, what is best to have my AP3923's gapped at?

If I choose to upgrade just my coil, would Accel be a good way to go, or hold out for an MSD coil?

If I upgrade my coil, but not the rest of my ignition system, what would I need to regap my AP3923's at to get the best performance?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

J & J, thanks for the info. Any suggestions on whether to upgrade the coil, and what to upgrade it to? Right now I can afford to upgrade just the coil, but not able to go as far as getting an MSD-6 to replace my ignition yet.

Also, if I upgrade just the coil, what should I set my plug gap to?
