Hey guys im new on here, just got a 97 dodge Dakota sport 3.9L, and i just found out how to check your own codes on your millage thingy, i don't know if it was posted or anything but if you want to check your codes if there is something wrong, just turn the key to on three times but not on, and wait up to 10 seconds and codes will appear 12 is normal i think, check itout

Kate T, I don't know if it will work on the 2007 or not, if it doesn't you may be able to use the trip reset button while the key is in the on possition. I don't know for sure, I was reading about that this weekend on this site. I don't remember which years it will work, and which it won't, at any rate give it a try and see what happens. Just turn the key on and off 3 times leaving the key in the on possition, it must be done with in 3-4 seconds I think. Then watch the CHECK ENG. light to blink.
