Hi yall I just orderd a set of harland sharps 1.7 for my truck and I custom ported the tb for now. I was wondering where I can eather get a mopar pref computer for a 93 3.9 auto 4x4. I dont mind if i have to buy a mopar one or if I can exchange for a flashed one, but the truck is a daley driver and will be bringing me 50+ miles to collage each day so it has to be drivabull.
Thanks a bunch this forum rocks!!!!

I ordered a mopar performance computer through Summit for a 95 auto 4X4 in May, it's back ordered until late August. I've also done most of the mods discussed, they tend to compliment each other hopefully making your V6 the best it can be. I use regular gas now but the perfomance computer may cause me to use a higher Octane. Won't know until I put the new computer in. If you're driving 50+ and in college you may want to rethink the performance computer for now and look into some of the other mods more proven to improve gas mileage. You may get the same gas mileage with the performance computer but if you need a higher octane it'll cost you.

There is not that much diff in gas mileage if
you drive the same

The problem comes in when you keep steping on it
to enjoy the added power

There is no question on the fuel you need 92 93
octain or it will ping like crazy

There are a few little perks with the V6 perf
comp but easily worked around

normal driving and high way the mileage can
actualy be better

the lock up shift is set at 50 52mph and goes up
very agresivly as the throttle is advanced this
is a very nice upgrade by itself

The computer helps from 1600rpm on up and there is
no rev limiter around 2200rpm very noticeable
improvements all the way to 5000rpm

better timing and fuel maps around an 8 degree
advance be sure you back off your crank sensor
to stock location also

and don't forget this computer also takes time to
learn it will ping around 3000rpm if you rev it
before you have some learn time

Its a very agresive computer

My last mileage check combined high way city
24.76 and that did include some hot rodding
now how can you beat that and a 4x4 yet

121.575 miles on truck and 92 motor almost the
same burns no oil I plan on driving it forever
I have other cars and trucks but this is my
favorte

Good gas mileage and a spunky little truck
Its Great

You will like the perf comp with your mods around
200 miles it will first begain to run half way
decient between 200 to 500 it will run a little
better with each cycle, a cycle is a complete
warmup drive and cool down every time you drive
it between 500 to 1000 it will fine tune and
run very well

Have Fun
