I was on the phone one day with Python Injection

Anyway this guy started telling me they went back
and retweaked the units vehicle specific and they
worked very well

Ok I ordered one they used to have a V48-555 for
all 94 95 ram dakota 3.9, 318, 360 same unit
now the dak 3.9 is a V48-612, 318 is a V48-615

So any way here
Instaled the unit 4 wires 2 to batt + -
1 to TPS signal
1 to Map signal
The hardest part was getting the LED into the cab
taped it to a welding rod and got it threw mounted
the unit between the washer tank and power dist
box

First what it did for the trans was great holding
o/d and lockup up into higher rpms great on
high way passing cars just push gas until red led
comes on and o/d and lockup shut down your in 3rd
now you can pass cars 1/4 1/2 3/4 throttle and
get some action

Ok what does it do, its just a signal mdifier
like any chip just set up diff it is a mid range
chip

When the LED light comes on it holds both throttle
and map at 3.8 to 4 volts

Injector increases of .5ms

The Timing OHH THE TIMING
Stock computer jet 2 chip
1/2 throttle 17 degree modual advance
3/4 throttle 15 degree modual advance

With Venom 400
1/2 throttle 20 degree advance
3/4 throttle 19 degree advance

The venome gives you more fuel and 3 to 5 degrees
advance when LED is on

A very noticeable increase in performance from
2500rpm to redline

Now this truck has all the mods and boltons
gasket match intake devider removes stock
runner length

The Venom box will activate between 25 to 30%
throttle below that all is normal sailing

I have triped it at 2000rpm you can notice an
increase there but it begains to pick up steam
from there

Is it worth the $300 I think so I love what it did
for the trans

I would have never tried this but while talking
with python and him telling me about the changes
I just decided I would test 1

Thats all the expensive controlers do is alter
signals to get the comp to react

So basicly what it does is tell the comp HEY I
am under more load here give me some gas give
me some timing and give me a richer power air/fuel
with that please

the comp goes into more aggresive tables and gives
the motor what its asking for

If it were all so simple

I have not read air/fuel but I know its getting
into more of a power ratio the 14.7 is pure
economy now getting into high 12's low 13 to 1
that is more of a power ratio

Have fun and yes the venom does work just as it
says I would say on my truck around a 15 hp
or more gain from 2500rpm to redline just more
timing baby 3 to 5 is a lot on one of these motors
and while under load great

Thanks for the information on the Venom Module. I never really considered using the Venom and Jet Chip together.

92 and 97 Daks both with many mods.

It should work with stick or auto trans

There are some idle isues when used with the jet
chip that I ran into

What it does is widen the range of the map and TPS
sensor we tried it with a number of diff setups
all by itself it works great but with some jet
chips it was leaning out at idle

If you plan on one of these call venom injection
and talk with Jose venom dept he will tell you
if it will work with your setup
