forget horsepower
think trq.!
and low end trq. (you'll be much happier)
now with that said with a 3 inch exhaust on a 3.9
you lost bottom end
2 1/2 works best on these motors
with a high flow converter & performance muffler of your choice

the other thing you can do next is a set of Harland Sharp 1.7 Roller Rocker arms

CPS mod
IAT mod
TPS mod

what year is the truck?
how many miles
a lazy O2 sensor will hurt performance and MPG's also

Them damn O2 sensors. Mine would cut out at about 65 and up unless you were WOT. Changed them to NGKs and it fixed the problem. I also think that I got a little more performance and gas mileage out of it. I like them.

'97 RC V6, 5spd, soon to be V8, 5spd!

ok 92 only has 1 O2
and yes go with NGK
also check your fuel pressure
if they pump is still original

a good set of wires
cap and rotor (brass inserts)
NAPA carrys echlin all brass inserts and
made in the usa (nice price too)
plugs try NGK FR5's
and like stated earlier
your exhaust is way to big for a 3.9
