How do you like it? Do you wish you had gotten a Flowmaster?

I have the aluminized Superflow on my V6er and love it; don't care for my buddy's 3-chamber Flowmaster.

I've got a Gibson dual set up on my V6 and
couldn't be happier with it. Sounds great!

Demon - Is it dual split or dual swept? What about back pressure, I always hear people talking about it. What is it? Do you lose it with the Gibson dual? How good does it sound?

Zaurusman - How good does your Gibson sound?

Youngin, it's a dual split setup. As far as
sound goes, the guy at the local muffler shop
that put it on said it was the best sounding
dual set up he had heard on a V6. Most that he
installed didn't sound deep enough. He
thought the Gibson setup sounded like a V8.
You'll have to get an answer about the back
pressure issue from someone smarter then I
am! All I know is my performance improved
greatly when I had this installed and I love the
sound. Hope this helps.

Well, if the most melodic sound in the universe were a 10, and the sound of a bear farting into the wind in the woods a 0 (making a Civic with a coffee-can muffler a -23), I'd say my Gibson is an ... 8?

Seriously, it's deeper and lower volume than the Flowmaster 2- and 3-chamber mufflers I've heard (and not as tinny), but I'm told that the Borla muffler is in turn deeper and quieter than mine. At low RPM under load I've heard it from outside the cab and found it impossible to suppress a huge grin, if that's any indication.

I don't have any digital sound recording instrumentation, but could probably find a clip of the bear...

I have the single Side Swept Gibson exhaust on my truck too. At first I didn't really like it. I thought it was way louder than I wanted. After a while I was 100% satisfied with it. I love the sound and I love the looks I get when people hear it too. =) I think I might have to tighten a clamp though because I swear I can hear a leak from the joint at the muffler and cat pipe.

Zaurusman, my Borla is deeper, but your Gibson is louder. Course, I'm a bit older than you and don't place as much importance on loudness :)

Low99Dakota- not too interested anymore, seeing how I make $7.75 an hour, I kinda have to set a list of my hook ups for my truck just so I can save for them. There would be alot before a newer bed liner. Sorry, Hey, see ya at Foxwoods next saturday.
