My dak runs 12's......till i wake up he he he
and as far as to what i've got done after that last run,,straight piped the exhuast, stage 2 chip an yes my chip does work (got lucky), 24# FMS injectors, relocated mt IAT to the air box an adjusted the TPS(didn't really have to but i was bored), and removed the clutch fan.Thats it for now,I got an accel 300+ ignition and flowmaster muffler for her soon to go on.

funny thing about my chip...I think i have that more power with less pedal pressure but less peak...which saves milage. im trying to sell it...but i took it out and the milage is really hurting a lot w/o it. its making me made. think im gonna sell my intake too(either to quit upgrades, wait for FI or get a K&N gen 2)...on e-bay.
as for bernd
a. you're not gonna run 12s because your truck will blow up
b. I am an example of free speech at its best...ahahaha
c. I WANT TURBO FOR $2000!!!not $3500. can't you make a non-intercooled kit that only does 6psi for less or just sell it separatly. i think 6 psi would be good enough. as long as i can outrun similar sized V8s(maybe not even R/Ts(although that would be super))
d. have any of you played gran turismo 3 a spec for PS2??? holy crap is that an awesome game. made a 617 hp mustang cobra R last night (top speed 212 mph) so realistic. 0-60 under 4.5(I luv 0-60) was at 100 in under 9 seconds...hard to stop. no danger either
truck felt fast today w/o jet chip...ugh but only like 40 miles on a 1/4 tank(as opposed to 60)
question: will ignition upgrades change your initial acceleration (1/8 1/4 0-60 0-30 0-100)???

16.943 @ 80.31 mph; broke outta the 17's for one run last month - WHOOHOO! Vehicle stoppage, followed by cab egress and middle-of-the-track jig dancing was but narrowly avoided. :-)

LlBlackDak has just proven himself a total idiot.
More power with less pedal pressure? That's called torque, there, dill-weed. That's your engine making more power at lower RPM's, that's your truck going faster than it did stock. You're the one who is ALWAYS bitching about how slow your truck is and that chip gave you (probably) 10 more horsepower, but you didn't know even what to do with it and now you've taken the chip out to sell it. So, after all that bitching, your truck is even slower.
The reason you were getting more mileage is the Jet Chip advanced your timing and tuned the fuel curve to a more suitable program than the Chrysler engineers designed, and you started getting more power for the same amount of fuel. More work for less fuel mean better miles per gallon.
So, now you've experienced a 10-15 horsepower gain AND better MPG, but you didn't even know what a power gain was ("I think i have that more power with less pedal pressure but less peak") Less PEAK??? What the F are you talking about?? If you didnt' even recognize a small power increase, what in the world are you doing talking about 6psi turbo kits for $2000??? You're not even gonna feel 6psi kicking you square in the pants!!
You are basically an unobservant lazy ignorant b!tch-a$$ 5-yr old whiner who knows NOTHING about cars, trucks, engines or anything related to them.
Please do us a favor and stick to the "Video Games About Cars" chat room. What a Jack-OFF!

I think if anyone is going to hit 12s with a V6, it'll be Bernd... maybe not low or mid 12s, more like 12.8 or so... but still, 12s.
12s is darn fast!
I don't know how fast my truck is, can't be any better than 16.9 or so... what are they stock, 17.8? Hmm, 16.9 may be a little low. Anyway, it -seems- darn fast. Fastest Dakota V6 I've ever riden in.

hey alex
ever seen a dyno on a jet 2??? adds hp in low rpms and subtracts at high ones. that is what it did. the truck was not faster with the chip...milage was better...actually it feels all around faster without it. but the milage increase was substantial.

Where's your dyno chart that shows the way that your truck reacted to a Jet2???? You dont' have one do you? The one they have posted on the Jet Chips site shows the Jet curve getting further and further ABOVE the stock curve for the 5.9 motor. The higher it revs, the more power it makes, according to the JET dyno cartoon. The V-6 is just a 318 with two cylinders chopped off. And the 360 is pretty much a 318 with some more cubes. Nothing radically different about the computer, the intake, the exhaust or anything else. Just a few more cubes. But you're here to tell me that the Jet chip makes less horsepower than stock at a higher RPM, eh? Where's your dyno chart?
Tell me that you're not really using your CD player for a dyno, too?
We are all pretty much tired of your whining. I can't possibly envision someone with any LESS ambition. How can you continually come to this board, bitch about how slow your truck is, and then NEVER do ANYTHING to remedy that situation.

Ya'll know i have no problems with my v6 dak(I said ya'll an i live in NY he he thats funny any ways) i got lucky cuz my dak runs like a bat out of hell.I can beat 1 of our v8 daks an as far as v6ers around hear you need nos,turbo,or supercharger to really beat mine, god i love my dak.

What're your year and specs, Quicksilver? Like body, tranny & diff ratio. With just the K&N I managed a ... 17.268 best run with a '98 RC, 5-spd w/3.21 and am wondering where your advantage is. Not in reaction time... :-)

I got 2001 3.9 RC 5-speed 3.21 rear.I think (don't quot me)that the power band for 2000+up was changed cuz a lot of the newwer dak are a little faster but i'm not really sure I do know each dak runs differnt an I got lucky an got a quick one.

scott, it varies with conditions; I've spun halfway through 3rd before, and hooked on first, at different temperatures. These are our best runs of many, too.
Quicksilver, I'd bet it's external to the truck (driver, track, weather, altitude, etc) but who knows; probably runs a different line or code or two in the PCM.

i should of worded that a little differently.I have ran in to a dakota that is fast except the R/T of corse an most of the dakotas around here are 4x4's so i get by most of them(when it's dry out)A lot of peaple up here are ricers an the reason i said you need nos turbo or super is cuz 1 guy from NC with a super an nos spanked my dakota. I normaly don't talk a lot of sh!t but i really love my dakota an she is fast not 14's or 13's (yet)but she moves.

I know i'm not that great of drive that an i've only been drive standard for a year an a half but i hope some of the guys i've race aren't worst than me.I do run better on cold days.I wish there where more peaple in to dakotas around here than me evry ones into rice burners or muscle, I got the muscle don't wait rice an run one fun a$$ truck.

i ran a 16.34@79 in mid march when it was cold.....i am going back either this staurday or next i have a feeling i will run a lil faster with the V8 TB. and my truck will be lowered...some people tell me it will run a little bit faster being lowered is that true?
and i spin my tires at the track but on the street they dont even chirp? most people its the opposite why is that?
