So I was looking on Ebay the other day, and I found an electric supercharger. Its a 12 volt fan that blows/forces air into your intake and supposibly creates alot of power, it is engaged with a flick of a switch, now what is your guy's opinion on these? would they actually work good? or is it just a scam? Thanks guys.

If you look at the electrical draw its not worth
anything in gains

depending on year look into computer upgrades

bigger throttle body
1.7 rockers
comp upgrade
headers

now your getting some real world gains that are
always there

92 to 95 the V6 performance comp
96 97 custom flash
98 and up super chips tunner

aRE YOU stupid,? One pound of boost produces 9.3 horsepower. yes it would be a good buy. some of you brainiacs know absolutly nothing about performance. which 9.3 doesnt sound like much, its very noticable.

first of all not all engines are the same. second of all if it did produce 9 horsepower, it's at the crank, not the wheels also, itsays these gains are over stock setup. since this device gets rid of the stock airbox and into a free flowing intake much like the K&N intake, the gains probably come from the intake, not the stupid electric fan. Which means its not boost, it's just a better CAI. go buy an airaid CAI and get the same gains for 200$ as opposed to 300$. Oh wait, I know nothing about performance, so i guess Im wrong about everything.

Right or wrong. These things are a scam. If you got money burning a hole in your pocket then buy it. You can always hang it on a wall. If your one that works for everything you get. then get something that works.

Yup, if that puts out a pound of boost it must be on a little model airplane engine, or tested on a static chamber. There's no way it's pushing the cfm needed to make a pound of boost on a full size motor turning decent rpm.

RAJU - if you think we are stupid , go ahead and buy yourself one of these.
I wish you the best of luck...

LOL man I see a lot of electric super chargers
at the race track

Oh I am sorrie those were electric fans on the
radiators LOL

save your money for mods that are proven to work
real world hp that is there all the time and
does not draw 30amps a 30 amp draw would need
probably 10 hp to turn the alt where is the gain
there you would be losing 1hp

My ram air scoop makes 1 pound of boost at
100 miles per hour

There is no way that little fan can move 600cfm
of air at 1psi boost as someone said its just
a glorified cold air setup

Its a fanticy just sticking that in your air tube
would restrict the flow big time
