okay im a mechanical retard and i need help finding something.
i recently crash into a pole (okay maybe im a complete retard) but i was going about 25 and it dented just my left front side and now my truck wont start. there isnt bad damage but my friend said it might be the inertial cutoff switch. please help me
i have a 91 dodge dakota 2W v6

Yup, most likely it'd be your inertia switch. When you turn the key to the "on" position, you should hear the fuel pump run for about 3 seconds to pressurize the system. If you don't hear it, then the inertia switch would be the logical assumption.

It's called the automatic shut down relay, and I can't seem to find its location in my manual at the moment.

Not familiar with your truck, but while diagnosing a Ram van with a bad fuel pump recently, the ASD relay was in a plastic box under the hood along with the fuel pump relay and a couple other things. I think it was labeled under the top of the cover. I'd think your truck might be similar, hope this helps.

The fuel pump ground is on the left front fender. You may have severed it.

The ground terminal for the fuel pump is on the left fender. You may have severed it in the accident. Check for a loose wire or corrosion between the terminal and the fender.
