H.S. are a direct bolt in...no clearance probs and no adjusting and are cheaper than the Crowers. With the crowers you have to adjust them and they have clearance issues with the valve cover but you can push the baffles in or something of that nature. Depends how much you want to spend and preference I guess.

I think the Crowers are supposed to be higher quality...but unless you're building your engine up specifically for racing, I think the Harland Sharps will be perfectly fine for you. Also take into account what Adam said as he's right on the money...Crowers have to adjusted for valve lash or whatever it's called when you first install them and you have to beat your baffles down part way on the valve covers due to clearance issues.

I got my Harland-Sharps from John @ SoutheastRT.com. You have to manually order, but they were $264 for the 3.9.

I have used both the Crowers and the Harland Sharps. The Crowers were very difficult to get adjusted. I must have adjusted them 5 or 6 times. I had one of the Crowers slip off the springs causing the the valve spring to break dropping the valve and messed up the cylinder head. I would not under any circumstances recommend using the Crowers with the alignment rings on the sides of the roller!!! The Harland Sharps are great and are much quieter than the Crowers. Even after many adjustments the Crowers still made noise on start up, Which by the way is when I had the problem. I'm not saying people haven't used the Crowers with no problems. I'm just not one of them.

Go with the harland sharp

the crower is a very strong rocker but must be
instaled correctly the reg crower are rated for
5500rpm the harlands 8000rpm

the crower rev kit without the guide washers on
the tip hardend push rods are great but still need
proper adjusting and baffle mods

I also when I got this recked 92 dak put the motor
in my 95 4x4 and they were not adjusted right
and knocked off a spring the only thing that saved
me was the valve seal kept it from droping in the
cyl I was very lucky

It also broke a guide washer, I replaced the
washer put them back in and ran them 10,000 miles
than I found out about the harlands and got a set
to teat out now I recomend them

one other thing about the harland is they have
slightly more lift they work out to be 1.71 to 1

just warm your motor a little than take the
covers off turn the motor over watch the valves
on number 1 drivers side after the intake valve
opens and closes bring it up to TDC now keep
going untill you see a V6 mark put that on 0
now change them out torque to 21 to 24 foot pounds
get them all in and let it sit for 1/2 hour so
the lifters will bleed down

now start it, it may miss at first run 1 min
shut off wait 5 min start again, if still mising
do it again

now they will all be self adjusted and ready to
rock and roll

providing all your sensors are working properly
you will notice the power increase right away
between 50 to 200 miles it will continue to
improve

off idle low end will improve and from 1800rpm
on up very noticeable

peak gains
3200rpm 25 foot pounds torque
4400rpm 18 hp
this is at the rear wheels

now add a bigger throttle body for another 15 to
18hp

net gains from these 2 mods 30 to 35hp
35 to 45 torque
at the rear wheels
a nice gain and better gas mileage providing you
can keep your foot out of it LOL

The Harland sharps are a true bolt on no addjustin
no baffle mods

the valve cover gaskets if origanal are reuseable
don't get any of the cheap rubber replacements
the parts stores sell they are junk
