Have a 93 dakota JBA headers no cat flow master 3" in by 2.5 x 2 out one side run into second muffler the other side have an electic cut out valve that open and close from the dash.
Looking at air intake next but the stock system does seem like a good set up intake tube by front rad 180 deg from road large intake tube, maye a second intake tube mod other side of rad.

A good exhaust system depends on flow #1
pulse #2
a good exh don't have to be loud get the pulse right
and you will gain more than just nrepect from
sound but the hp and torque is there
