Subject: 3.9 sometimes called a 3.7?
IP: Logged

Message:
when i was searching through ebay for parts. I noticed alot of sellers listing their parts for the 3.7L engine..

Is this a mistake? do they really mean the 3.9?

I know chrysler has a 3.3L, but I dont remeber hearing about a 3.7L magnum?

Shouldn't be a mistake - the 3.7 design replaced the 3.9.

Not sure, maybe someone else could help with that. Do you mean in a Dakota? I think, like the 4.7, it was used in jeeps first.

Don't get confusing; Jeep used to have a straight 6.
3.7 was birthed around 06.

the 4.7 debuted in 1999 in the jeep cherokee and was first offered in the dakota in 2000.

the 3.7 debuted in the jeep liberty in 2002 and was available in the dakota in 2004.
