 Subject: 3.9L Dakota Sport

Hey guys, I got an 02 dakota with a 3.9L, recently installed an airaid cold air intake, and chip, now i wanna do something with the exhaust, i was thinkin single in and dual out just for the looks, but i want it to sound good, like a deep throaty sound, any suggestions? and i heard the V8 throttle body will work on a V6, is this true? and how much power would i gain? thanks guys

"Many people have debated this and a lot of it has to do with loyalty to a company label. We have personally run Dynomax, MagnaFlow, Flowmaster, Ravin, JBA mufflers and exhaust systems, and found that the single exit systems were slightly better than the dual exit systems...on the Dyno and at the track. The reason for this is that on a single exit system, the exhaust pulses don't fight each other on the exit. "

the 5.2L and the 5.9L parts are, for the most part inter-changable. so yes the v8 TB will fit a v6.
