I'm having a strange problem with my headlights. My head, tail, parking lights will not come on. If I leave the switch off and press the brake pedal, it goes to the floor. If I pull on the light switch, my brakes are fine, but the lights dont work. Also if I press the brakes with the light switch on or off the emergency and the abs light come on . My cab light, turn and emergency flasher all work fine. My headlights, parking lights, brake and dash lights are not working. I've checked all fuses and they are fine. This is very odd. Could it be a fusible link or that Main relay that is located under the ash tray? 95 Dakota 3.9 v6 mag. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention that the tach stops working if you depress the brakes with the head light swich off. Release the brake pedal and the tach starts working. Also the door buzzer does the same thing when depressing the brake.

Well, The relay and coil thats is located under the ash tray is for the Infinity speaker system that came with the truck. Far cry from having anything to do with the electrical problem that I was having.
I did find my problem and it was a corroded wire connector that had rusted through. It was on the wire harness that plugs into the firewall between the master cylinder and the washer fluid container. That boot was full of water and had been for some time and rusted the spade connector off of the 10awg red & white wire that goes in that connector block.

Umm, thanks for all the idea's and input!?!? I think?
Glad I was able to help!!
