i have a 94 dakota with the 3.9 mag. the motor is blown and am looking for a new one relativly cheap. what i need to know is will a 97 or newer motor work or am i just stuck trying to find a 94-96 motor? thank's Alex

www.car-parts.com check them out... they'll hook ya up with all junk yards in your loaction that will have motors for your truck and the site will tell ya what year motors will work also...

Newer ( 97-99 ) same block , but intake manifold different- NO EGR..
So , if you get one of those , you need to put your original intake on it..
Otherwise -as above..
