 Subject: Speedometer Cable sqeel??

My 87 dakota speedo cable must be loose. When I am going under 15 it freak outs(goes up and down really fast) after 25mph its fine, but it squeels and its really anoyying. How do I fix this?

Disconnect the cable behind the dash. Remove the cable from inside the cable housing. Parts houses have speedometer cable lub. Yours is at best dry. Could be wore out from lack of lub. Using 2 fingers and your thumb Grease the cable as you slide it back in. Keep in mind some cables must be removed from the cable housing from the trany end due to a flange on the cable.
