Try another shop. Rear ends make noise all the time when going out. Wheel bearings are loudest in a turn. You have limited slip? That will act up in corners with wrong lub or going bad.

So many problems .... So little time

If it is a L/S, buy the Friction additive you need at a parts store. Remove the cover to drain and replace it after cleaning out the pumpkin. Hopefully you won't find any L/S items laying in there. Replace cover using silicon gasket maker(there is no gasket far as I know) Install the additive first so you get it all in. then ad the diferential fluid. Drive to an empty lot big enough to drive in tight circles in both directions. Do this till the noise stops and you should be good to go.
