I have a extra intake for my truck. Anyone ever take the plate off the bottom and see the long long runners. Anybody ever cut these down. When the bottom cover is on it leaves maybe a 1.5 in gap between it and the opening on the runners. I was thinking about cutting a inch or two off it. I am a auto tech but we dont do much stuff like this at my shop. If anybody has any ideas let me know. I am porting the tb holes to match my v-8 tb this weekend.

that's been done before. if you want to keep some low end power don't cut the runners down more than 2". the more you cut them the more power you'll move to the upper rpm.

check out this. it will give you an idea.
