How many people have tried this and installed it themselves? I searched through google but didn't really find the answers I was lookin for. I know about the price but just wondering if anyones done it themselves and how much of a pain it is. Thanks for any input.

I did it once on a ford 4x4 truck. Wasn't hard at all to install. had it for about 4 years before selling the truck. It worked great with no failures. only bad part about it was the controls were all dash mounted. A bit unhandy.

So many problems .... So little time

I read on an earlier post I could get the kit from dodge. Just trying to see if anyones actually installed it themselves. Right now the most detailed schematic for wiring is my haynes manual. Can't imagine it being too hard...most all electrical stuff should just need to be plugged in. At the most spliced in to another wire. Thanks for any info.

I had mine installed through Ziebart...was right around $300 installed. Less of a headache having them do it, plus I got like a 1 or 2 year warranty with it. Haven't had any real problems with it. Occasionally it wouldn't wanna set the first try...but other than that, all was fine.

Are the mounts for the buttons the same or is it different? I want to go as close to stock as possible. I figure I didn't buy it loaded but I can make it.
