Subject: wire splice?
IP: Logged

Message:
On my 93 Dak I used to have problems with it leaving me stranded. I would hit the fuel tank thinking the fuel pump was bad. Then I noticed it would start every time i pulled the air cleaner assy off and wiggle wires. I read about a problem with a wire splice. Where is this problem. It hasn't done it since June but would like to fix it. I love this site. Gonna join this weekend. Cant wait to start my new project and get everyones advice.

this was most common on the generation 2 trucks
92 to 95

under the hood drivers side there is a power dist
box about 6" to a foot back you must untape
and unrap wire harness a red wire pluged into
3 or 4 other wires
comp power
fuel pump
ignition

Its just a plug in connector and it caroads and
loses contact cut it right out and solder all
wires togather tape with elect tape than cloth
friction tape this is also a chrysler TSB
technical service bulliton

pin 3 on computer power all the time
pin 9 on off with key
this is how you can find this

looking over pass side fender down over comp
plug
#1 top left just count over 3 and 9 you want to check
