Hello there,
Looking to get some help from other Dakota owners out there. Great forum btw !
I have a 1989 Dakota 4x4. Recently, the gears (crown and spider) inside my front diff ate each other up. I am now looking around for a junkyard assembly that I can swap in.
My question is, what other years would be a direct swap for this assembly ?

86 to 91
92 and up will also work but setup for antilock
upto 95 27 spline axle
96 and up 29 spline axle

I have a 97" sport and I am wondering if you can switch doors over from the same year will transfer over but its 4x4 I want to have power windows and locks just seeing if my truck has the plug I have looked but didn't see anything does anybody know

Hello, I would like to know if I can put a rearend from a dodge sport with a V8 in it, into a dodge Dakota with a V6in it? They both are 4x4. My Dakota is a 2003, don't know the year of the Sport, yet! But, so far the dash, the door handles and door locks are the same, I already bought them, the Sport had Elec. windows, my Dakota does not. Also, the Sport was a four door, mine is a two door. Thank You, for any feedback you can send my way and have a safe winter when it arrives
