I was given a V6 dakota and the exhaust is all rusted to hell, and needs to be replaced. i dont no exactly what is required in an exhaust system and need some help on what i need. i was gonna put a Catback and a Glasspack on so far, but im not sure if i need a Catalyic coverter or not. The glasspack was prob gonna ba a magnalfow and i have a stainless steal catback from another vehicle i had that no longer runs.i no i dont need a resignator and i want the truck loud but legal.

cats normally dont rust out unless the shell is really really rusted out.... you might look into getting a cat back system thats made for your truck besides trying to peice on together from another vehicle....

thnx, but what i ment was, what needs to be included in the catback system, like i have the catback already, am i gonna need a catalyic converter also? and instead of a muffler will a glasspack work?

Just go down to your local muffler shop and they should be able to get you what ever you need. I wouldn't use the Glasspacks because they sound like crap and you will sound ricey. I put on a 40 series Flowmaster and have gotten a lot of complements from people on the tone of a V6.

Yes, go to a local shop. They will be glad to talk and help.
My V6 has a Magnaflow/Carsound cat, Flowmaster 50 Delta, and it sounds great.
