These are the people I deal with on transmissions
parts, rebuild kits and shift kits

tciauto.com
the 220500 shift kit 89 to 98

redrider.us
great article on converting the O/D to the older
vehicles rebuild kits and many parts, rebuild
manuals, there trans action kits from fairbanks
work very well

transmissionpartsusa.com
they have all of the sonnax parts sure cure kits
updated valves and many other parts

smrtrans.com
Pat is a great guy shift kits parts and torque
converters built to your specs stall speeds from
stock to 3000rpm made in house, rebuild kits and
manuals

There shift kits have the best instructions
anywhere don't just tell you how but what the
changes will do to the trans. very easy to get
just what a customer wants more expensive but
worth it

We are running one of there work horse 518's
behind the 360 vortech motor 500hp plus at the
wheels
new 360 short block
272/284 ..500 cam
10.5 to 1 comp forged
vortech blower 10 lb boost
eagle rods
custom flash by B&G
94 ram 4x4 reg cab short box

superior trans also has shift kits, improver kits
that work very well

If your looking to rebuild or just make your
trans stronger these are the people to deal with

99 and up the transgo kit summitracing.com $110
I rarely use this kit unless a customer brings
one in to install I always end up droping the
valve body 2 or 3 times to get it right.
What happend here is when they updated to use the
kit in all the transmissions they stoped doing
some of the valve body mods and there plate hole
sizes are not even close some are already bigger
than the biggest they tell you to go and nowhere
near the .187 the others are using show off .110
my a$$ way off the mark here after taking it apart
2 or 3 times they do work good but are way off
what they tell you is needed for firmnes lots of
slide bump and soft shifts its just all the
screwing around that turned me off with the transgo

I have used all these kits people have brought
in for installs

05 Hemi truck paxon blower big boost kit custom
B&G flash another 4x4 with over 500 RWHP

We do have some fun around here with the trucks
just as much as the old mopar hot rods chargers,
road runners, super bee's

I am retired and still cant stop playing with
these things pure excitement

Have fun and build one hell of a transmission

daksport at netzero.net

take the at out and use @

They are in the org box with all instructions
studs washers and lock nuts

I will let them go for $200 but you pay the
shipping I would have to weigh them to figure
that out

bring each cyl to TDC use a little screw driver
or wooden dowel in plug hole watch that the
intake opens than closes than bring to top
blue locktight 22 foot on studes 0 lash than 3/4
turn 0 lash just tighten them untill the push rod
becomes hard to rotate with your fingers than 3/4

You will also have to knock the baffles down in
the covers to clear locknuts just leave the ends
open enough to except oil and the PCV works

Thats about it on the install

I like to do this than take 1 cover off at a time
jack that side of truck up slightly so oil does
not run out than back off slowly untill a constant
tick is heard than bring back down the tick will
go away and you will feel the nut get hard to
turn thats 0 than 1/4 1/4 1/4 wait after each 1/4
untill the valve closes it will hold them open
temp

This is a satic adjusting and you know your right
on the money 1 at a time

The static adjustment is done while engine is
running at idle

I would asume you know how to put these in they
need to be adjusted right

I have scary thoughts about someone with no exp
installing the crowers after reading the guys post
who could not adjust them

"The static adjustment is done while engine is

Bob Lincoln,

Mr. Know it all cut Larry some slack you are one of the most argumentative posters I have seen on this board. If some posts something you don't like you always wnat to argue over it. Why? What's there to prove?

Nothing. Just want to clarify it. Valve adjustment can be done with engine on or off, depending on the service procedure. Larry mentioned avoiding the oil splash, which sounds like engine is running, but then mentions static adjustment. Just asking to make it clear - engine running or not.
