I'm about to install new intake manifold gaskets. I know I need RTV or sealer on the gasket around the water ports but what about the intake ports. Am I suppose to use RTV or a sealer around the intake ports?? If so, what works best?

What is a typical vacuum reading for these V6 engines with 150K miles

Thanks for any help and opinions

I used the black rtv around the water ports and for the rubber end gaskets.

If you don't have a Haynes manual, you should get one. Most of the guys here have one. It has lots of good basic info.

the only place you use silicon is at the ends
of the vally cover gaskets the 2 small flat ones
all 4 corners

where the intake and cover gaskets meet

no where else

from center out x pattern side to side towards
ends 4, than 8 than 12 foot pounds torque
