my check engine light is on and will not pass new york state inspection like that. i had the codes run at auto zone and they said it was two evap codes and O2 sensor. they said that the evaps could be anywhere but that the 02 sensor was the one after the Cat. converter. i have a hole in the muffler i was woundering if that would cause the 02 sensor code to come on. the dealer once told me that the fuel filler neck was leaking so i painted it real heavy to hopefully seal it then disconnected the battery and reset the check light but it came back on shortly after. also my AC does'nt work i was woundering if this could be one of my evap leaks. thanks for any help.

the evap codes have nothing in common with your AC.... the evap is the vacuum lines that reclaim the fuel vapors from the gas tank and takes them to the engine to burned sop they are not release to the atmospher.... the hole in the muffler doesnt have nothing to do etheir with that rear O2... the rear O2 monitors the exhaust coming out of the cat.... the evap code and the O2 code need to be taken care of to definitly pass...

I hope you understand what you need to fix first. Whether you will die from CO poisoning or light up like a comet are the odds that a bookie will address.
