Ok, So the 3.9 and the 5.9 are the same motor except for Longitudinal Items (Less 2 Cylinders, Cam, Crank etc.) So is the Bellhousing the same? If want to go to a 5.9 from my 3.9 Will it bolt to the tranny? I have the 5-speed 4x4, I will eventually swap the tranny, but to make this the most cost efective right now, I want to keep the ax15 or whatever it is, Thanks for the help

The Tranny bolts right up with no problem, but your gonna burn it out quickly. The best idea is to do it now when the engine is out dont wait.

he said 5spd tranny so putting it behind a V8 shouldnt be a problem.... the clutch on the other hand might be a different diameter to teh flywheel surface cause of the torque difference... so you might actually have toget a V8 5spd tranny cause there is possiblity theta the tranny splines are different...
