aight,
i just installed my new holley throttle body off of a 5.2. and it runs great, no rough idle, and my 3.9 throttle cable fit right on!!! is this a bad thing??? is there any need to get a cable off of a V-8??? the junk yard didn't have the cable or i'd have gotten it. i've got a '98 dak sport 3.9 5-speed. thanks in advance for da replies!!!

If it works, keep it.
I believe the only reason others have to purchase the different TB Cable is the difference in the new TB causes a lag in acceleration. If you aren't experiencing that lag, I'd say you're good!
