Subject: All of a sudden big power loss!?

Just a few min ago I decided to drive around on my lunch break to blow off some steam. And so I bomed around om some local roads I know but I noticed shortly after starting my little run I had lost alot of my power it will still get up to 3000 rpm ok (not as good as normal but ok) but it just plain dies after that and there is some vibration at 3000rpm now the vibration may be somthing with the U-joint or the driveline (just put new U-joint in few days ago)but when I rev it in nuetral or with the clutch in it revs slower than normal and there is a wierd noise its sounds louder than normal but its not an exhaust noise, when i got back to work i poped the hood and noticed on the passender side fender well there was what appeared to be coolant not alot but enough for me to wonder just where the hell it came from, it felt kinda like a watery oil or something. is it possible I blew my head gasket? or somthing it still idles fine but there is deffinately some wierd noise coming from it when it gets above 2000rpm. any help would be greatly appriciated (also i did just switch to an msd setup recently is it possible that it toasted my cap and rotor badly enough its getting very little spark power now?)

Check and see if you blew the 10amp fuse for the IOD circuit. I just bought a dak with poor power from a guy, replaced the fuse and it made a world of difference. Something going that fast, that would be the first place to check. It's the fuse with the white holder that allows you to pull the fuse without completely pulling it out of the fuse box. You'll have to wrangle it out to actually check the fuse, but it's well worth the trouble to make sure it isn't the problem.

Remember, KISS ( keep it simple, stupid ).

Well I found the cause of the antifreeze the water pump bearings were gone, so I put on a brand new water pump that obviously solved that part of the problem. but today on my way back to work it still had very little power, WOT in 4th and it would barely go past 65-70MPH, Coil is brandnew MSD Blaster 2, there is an odd noise coming from the exhaust or atleast thats where it seems to be coming from I was planning on having it possibly removed or maybe if I wanna keep emissions friendly I might just get a high flow but I dont have to go through emissions so... also reving the engine with the clutch in seems a little sluggish usualy it'll quickly zip through the whole rpm band without much throttle, asside from that odd noise I am hearing out the back very possibly the cat it is kindof a muffled noise but yet its louder than normal when I give it full throttle just I dont really accelerate, but i guess we'll see if its the cat soon maybe when i get home tonight or tommorow i'll try pulling the cat off after the Y-Pipe and see if its still sluggish if it makes a huge difference probably is a bad cat, but just for some other things to check do you guys have any other ideas what may be wrong if its not the cat?
I'll try to check all of my fuses on my break but I'm sure they are all ok but its worth a look.

Thanks for all your help
