I have and 02 3.9 5 speed, there is a clunk noise coming from the clutch area, would anyone know what this may be.....i took it to the local dealership and they told me it was normal tranny noise, but i beg to differ.

Well if I am sitting in neutral, I can let out the clutch, and it makes the noise. Also whenever I am going up a steep grade (driveway) and I release the clutch, it does the same type of noise.

I just got my truck back from the tranny shop, they looked at the clutch and said it is nothing in the clutch definaltly the tranny. They think it may be an input bearing.....
