Yeah that one blew my mind the first time I towed a heavy trailer. I figured no way would the tires spin. Then they proved me wrong! Gotta love that diff!

Forget all that you know about increasing HP
and focus on the other end of the spectrum.
The power to weight ratio of a vehicle is often
changed by looking for power gains, but I say
no more my friend! Grab your socket set and
lets look at the wonderful world of weight
reduction...
First thing you have is a definate advantage
with engine weight, shyt with 2 less cylinders
and a smaller block you save about 300 lbs. I
hope you have a reg cab, cuz that saves
another 300! Way to go look at that ratio
increase!
Next youll want to remove that passenger
seat, no free rides here! Time: 10min
Remove the spare tyre from under the
bed...hey another 50lbs or so Time: 3 min
Always run with a 1/4 tank of gas....I cannot
stress this enough. especially with your
automatic transmission, cracking the rear
loose isnt likely so keep it low and you will be
rewarded with speed!
I hope you are getting some ideas...keep
reading!
Next look for any loose objects in your
cab....Jacks, amps, owners manuals, spare
change, porno mags, these will all slow you
down so toss it!
Remove the following items in order of
importance to you, you dont have to remove
them all, but if you want speed...go for it!
pedal covers, door trim, door glass, interior
carpeting, shifter knob, center console, radio,
rear view mirror, are you getting the picture?
WARNING!:Do not remove the rear glass as
this will cause a blow by effect making it
extremely difficult to drive without some kind of
eye protection.
Finally it would be wise to step on the
treadmill a few days a week, hey the driver
may have to be weight reduced as well!
So lets consider how much weight we have
reduced...lots and you know what the best part
of all this is??? It didnt cost you a dime! Not a
measly penny! That is the best upgrade i can
think of! shyt I just shaved a tenth off your 1/4
mile time....
I hope these tips will help you to keep up to
the v8 boys when it comes time to start the
showdown...
As for me, ill keep enjoying with my truck fully
intact , a nice girl in my pass seat while I cruse
the roads with a bad ol V8...But there will
come a time when i decide to catch some
5.9s and follow my own advice.
Well kiddies, I hope you enjoyed this brief
overview of the world of weight reduction, next
week we will look at carbon fibre dash
needles, low weight oils and car wax that
actually increases gas mileage.

Its called the human RACE for somethin!

LOL TEAMFAST - you're a riot. I had to get 2/3 of the way through the email beforeI could tell if you were serious or not!

But I have to ask. The thing about not removing the rear window... Is this spoken from experience? :)

Yes but the blow by at 100mph would make it
hard to see, unless you wear some sort of eye
protection... If your removed both the rear
glass and the windshield you would be toast.
