Anyone do the pulleys on their v6er? Just wondering what kind of gain you got in that. Either the 2 or 3 pulley system.

It all depends! Do you have a press on water pump or a bolt on water pump!!! If you have the press on water pump then get the 2 pulley set!!! If you have the bolt on water pump then get the 3 pulley set!!! I have the press on water pump and I put both my pulleys on and killed my battery within a day, so I took the alternator pulley off and I still notice some gain at low end power, not much though. I think you might be better off buying and IAT Adjuster from Speedtweaks.net and maybe something else for the money that you would spend on pulleys!! Just my opinion!!! Let me know if I may be of any other help!!

i have a 98 with just that crank pulley and i noticed alot more low end torque. i lit up that right rear tire (3.55 lsd w/ 245/70/15's) from about a 15mph roll the first day i had the pulley on. make sure you get the smaller belt though, it's pn945 k6. i might just go with the IAT adjuster if i were you. prolly a little more bang for the buck.

More than likely you have the press-on water pump pulley. In 98 they were half/half! I am guessing that 97 the V6's came with all press-on's! So I would just order the 2-pc and just install the Crankshaft pulley!

yeah kris, thanks a butt load. i'm kinda mechanically retarded...hey, it happens ok. UFO just go w/ the 2 piece and put on the crank pulley...IMHO that's the only one that's actually gonna improve power at all, because the engine isn't directly turning the other accessories' pulleys, just the crank pulley. it's simple physics...i think

Call Summit and ask them for the single crank pulley for it. they run around 50 bucks. i think the crank pulley is worth it. helped mine out alot.

don't get the alternator pulley... a lot of guys (dak and ram) complain that they don't get enough power to the alternator and have problems with that.
