I'm thinking about getting a set of Harland Sharp 1.7 rockers, where can I get the best price? What is a good price??

Can anyone tell me if it will improve my gas milage?

I see that Harlan Sharp makes a 1.6 roller rocker but this is the same as stock, why would someone buy the 1.6 rockers??

Thanks for the help.

You would want to use the 1.6s if you were swaping out your cam for a more agressive one. The 1.7s emulate the more agressive cam.

i have the 1.7 HS Rockers in my 3.9 and they can also be used with a different cam but gotta watch how much bigger of a cam you use.... one up over stock on a cam you should be ok but if you go radical then back to stock you go.... i bought my HS from summitt for just under 300... cant remember the actual price but it was alot cheaper then the other rocker out there...

John@SoutheastRT.com; $264. Wife reported that mine arrived yesterday, but I'm in Phoenix and it'll be Saturday before I get a chance to install them.

That's why I need a good email address for Mark. I need to do a search for the installation instructions, and it don't like my password! Argh!! Plus, they're having one helluva thunderstorm right over the Embassy Suites right now - hope this gets out!

I asked the same question a while back and someone gave me this site to check out:

www.pavementsucks.com/tech/rollerrocker.php

It gave me exactly what I needed for the Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rocker install

Thanks, Elmer! That's exactly what I was looking for. And yeah, the storm DID knock the power out last night, immediately after I hit "enter" and I was really surprised that the note got out. I wound up going down to the bar and sucking down Jack Daniels for a couple hours til the lights came back on.

I'm still in the break in period and am getting around 16 mpg in town. Haven't been on a long trip yet,16 mpg is a slight improvement for me. I think the original dealer sticker on my truck said 15 city 19 Hwy, I'm not sure how people are getting 20-24, turn the engine off and coast. The difference you'll notice is in the power, especially at 3000rpm. When you step on the gas at 65-70 it no longer bogs down and oinks but actually takes off. Naturally, all the other mods work together for a better performance.

I've had my rockers on for about 6000 miles now. I just got back from a trip that took me 4000 miles with an average driving day of 10 hours at 70mph. When the temps were between 70-85 i averaged 25mpg, but when the temps climbed over 100* it dropped to 21. Makes me think i need some insulation on my hot air intake pipe cause the air sure ain't cold when it gets to the engine.

65-70 mph, stays in OD now until I ask it to accelerate(hunted in/out of OD before) 2500 rpm on up its a different/stronger motor. Since this mod comes with a heavy right foot I have not realised any MPG increase, but it hasn't gone down either
