 Subject: Black Magic Fan

A question for those who have installed a Black Magic 150 fan in a '98 2wd V6. What hookup has been the best to use for the 12v+ (small red wire)to an "ignition on" source. Just wondering if any particular wire or point in the fuse box was the better choice.

I ran my red wire thru the firewall and wired it to the driver's side fuse box. If I recall there is a spare slot the is hot when you turn the ignition on.

If you don't like the look of the top and bottom brackets for mounting the fan, You can go to Lowes and buy a piece of aluminum L bracket and use the original fan shroud holes on the sides and make some nice brackets.

Thanks, Steve, I think that might work just fine.
I found that the #16 fuse spot in the fuse box is a spare and the #3 pin on the cooresponding connecter is open. I can probably get a correct pin from my avionics dept and do the job neatly.
