Just got my dakota a month ago and all the sudden my e brake and abs lights are turned on. There seems to be nothing wrong with the brakes at all. All fuses look fine. Anyone know what this could be>? And how to reset it?

adamklein27, is your speedo working ok? it could be a number of things. if your truck is an '00 & up, you can turn the key on/off, on/off then on (turned to on, not start) and trouble codes will display on the odometer. then you can narrow down the problem.

that key on - off doesnt work with the ABS.... you need to go in the ABS module with a scanner.... apperently there is a fualt in your ABS system....

You need to replace the speed sensor in your rear end; on top of the pumpkin.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

I'm seeing my mechanic to play "read the codes" tomorrow for the same thing.
Turning it off and re-starting clears it up.
